Working together with other law firms, EKSM secured a $14,000,000 settlement with McLaren Health Care Corporation, resolving data privacy claims arising out of the cybersecurity incident that occurred in 2023 and 2024. The claims, which sought an award of actual damages, compensatory damages, statutory damages, and more, were brought by our plaintiff on behalf of all persons in the United States whose Private Information was compromised in the two Data Breaches, including all who were sent notice of them. Under the agreement, in which McLaren Health Care Corporation did not admit to liability, the Defendant settled all disputes with a payment in the amount of $14 million.
