Working together with other law firms, EKSM secured a $1,100,000 settlement with Oklahoma Spine Hospital, resolving data privacy claims arising out of the cybersecurity incident that occurred in July 2024. The claims, which sought an award of actual damages, compensatory damages, statutory damages, and more, were brought by our plaintiff on behalf of all persons who were sent a Notice of Data Breach Letter from Oklahoma Spine Hospital concerning the Data Incident discovered by Oklahoma Spine Hospital on or around July 1, 2024. Under the agreement, in which Oklahoma Spine Hospital did not admit to liability, the Defendant settled all disputes with a payment in the amount of $1,100,000.
