Working together with other law firms, EKSM secured a $6.5 million settlement with Omni Family Health, resolving data privacy claims arising out of the cybersecurity incident that occurred on August 7, 2024. The claims, which sought an award of actual damages, compensatory damages, statutory damages, and more, were brought by our plaintiff on behalf of all U.S. residents whose personal information was potentially compromised as a result of the data incident. Under the agreement, in which Omni Family Health did not admit to liability, the Defendant settled all disputes with a payment in the amount of $6,500,000.
